Is anyone applying while taking a year off after graduation? What are you guys doing in the time being? Just curious.

hey pocwana-
how do you go about working as an emt? it seems really interesting. right now, i'm working as a biochemist in a lab, and I'm not enjoying it very much. Lab SUCKS!

if bruinkid means you're from ucla, you're in a good spot. i took a two week course with ucla's center for prehospital care. just take a state test after that and you're certified. i went down to an ambulance company (a friend of mine told me that if you have a cert[ification] and a pulse, you're in) and got hired.

In my year off I worked - doing research. I am really glad I did that. It was different working and it gave me some time off from studying so hard. When I started school, I was refreshed and ready to go!
