Getting into any medical school in the United States is already above average. 60% of applicants don't get in at all, and most people who do only get into one school. If you go to Cornfield State School of Osteopathic Medicine you are already an incredibly successful applicant and better off than the majority of pre-meds, even if you didn't go to Columbia. And the "dream" should be becoming a doctor, not going to a specific school because you think the building looks cool and you like the school color.
Edit: Don't mean to be rude, but being realistic about the process will give you the best chance of becoming a doctor.
Edit again: To answer your original question...you should make sure your application is strong enough to get in the first time around. If you don't get in and you still want to be a doctor, by all means, reapply, but reapplicants are no more attractive candidates than first-time applicants. It doesn't "help" your application to reapply. You will have several thousand dollars and a year of your time down the drain if you don't wait until you're ready for your first application cycle.
