Due to a number of reasons, I am just starting to work on my primary ADEA AADSAS Application for the 2015 cycle. I am trying to get it in within the next few weeks, no later than mid October. Do I realistically have a chance of getting an interview with a dental school this late in the year?

My cumulative undergrad GPA was 3.405 and my Science GPA was 3.067.

I have 1000+ hours working in EMS and somewhere between 200-300 hours at my current internship at a dental office.

DAT Scores:

PAT: 20
QR: 20
RC: 23
Biology: 22
GC: 24
OC: 18
Total Science: 21
Academic Average: 21

-little below average oGPA
-low sGPA
-above average DAT
-Good ECs

If you're cool spending a couple grand then go for it, you probably have a pretty small shot considering how late it is and that your application is just average.. improving your GPAs (specially sGPA) and applying early next cycle would give you a much better chance

Do you have any suggestions how to improve the Science GPA after graduating college? I am currently not enrolled in any university since I graduated a while back.

I'm in same boat as you .. There is a graduate program at rutgers! If we score high enough we can get in their dental school

At this point is there anything else that would improve my chances of getting in? Doing a masters/post-bac is difficult when I have to worry about working/supporting myself/other obligations.

For this cycle? Not really. The easiest and most effective way to improve your chances for future cycles is (imo) improving your DAT scores, which is possible while working, but becomes more difficult when your scores are already solid. The problem is that the only major weak point in your application is the gpa, which takes time to improve. You're not a bad applicant, it's just unlikely that you will have much success when applying so late. I would suggest waiting until the next cycle and applying in early june to maximize your chances.

go for state schools. don't fork over too much money.
Next cycle should be much better!
