I was looking at some programs on ERAS, and noticed that some programs have multiple categoricals/tracks. For example, Cooper University Hospital has one track for Cooper Hospital and another track for Atlantic city. Other programs, for example, have combined research track and just regular track. (i'm talking about within one department... i'm not going to apply to multiple different specialties at one institution) I was wondering if applicants are supposed to choose one track only.
Any input would be appreciated.

Applicants are free to pick one, the other, a third (if it exists), or any combination thereof.

Now, some of them would be very strange if you picked both. For example, many IM programs have a (just plain) categorical track, a research track, and a primary care track. If you pick both the research and PC tracks, that is just silly.

Thank you for your reply. I guess it's not considered bad like applying to multiple specialties at one institution but id have to be aware of that the tracks are.
