Right now I'm still unsure exactly which schools I want to apply to. There are several definite schools and other not so definite schools I want to think about for a few more days before submitting. Is it possible to submit applications to schools separately? or is it usually done in one batch at a time.

Yes, you can indicate on AMCAS which schools you want to apply to. Later, if you want to add more schools, you can.

I dont know your stats and what tier school your going for, but my advice is to not be too picky, but dont pick schools you would nevrr attend. Turning down an acc. and reapplying does not look good.

I applied to schools in three waves. It's easy to do, and doing so doesn't change your position in the waiting-for-transcript-verification line.
