I don't find upenn updated application.They told in the site that they will update in march, but it is not yet done.😕
Anyone has any idea about this?
When will we've to send application for upenn?

I applied to Upenn last year and got rejected, most probably because my application reached them few days before the deadline and they have rolling admission, so this year am planning to apply early.

hi all, wt i heard abt upenn is they give more importance to work experience, is it true? as one of my friend with score of 95 in part-1, but no work experience got rejection from upenn without an interview call. plz give your inputs............

nobody knows what criteria they depend upon when selecting their applicants and this is also true for most of the schools. my advice is apply and see what happens because every applicant is unique.

I am not sure about "prefering diversity". Because it is an international program, people from different countries is a given.

There were 3 interviews- all personal. No dentistry related questions. They were friendly and even served breakfast and lunch. 😀😀

They do respect diversity, whereas i know.

An example : A Burma country's dentist can be accepted with 85 , over the Indian dentist with 91..... hope i am clear

but having said that one should try... as if we do not try how can we expect any outcome.

My Personal experience about UPENN was that they call people with good resume (Good score, GPA, work experience, research experience, extra curricular activities.....). My batch of interview last year had people who had either a lot of clinical experience or were doing some research.....

that's the spirit keep applying and applying and never give up....
I'm not sure about that because their application cycle has not started yet
but I'll post here if I hear anything new.

Can someone please answer on transcripts. The website says "Dental school transcripts – Notarized copies of official transcripts must include courses taken and the grade received for each course and/or the results of the annual qualifying exams."

Can I get trascripts from school and send to Upenn or they expect school to directly them? My school is asking number of questoins on what needs to be in transcripts like hours on course etc , could someone please clarify on that.

Secondly, "Dental school diploma or graduation certificate – Applicants must submit a notarized copy of their official dental school diploma or graduation certificate"

As I already have graduation certificate, I can get it notarized and send it..I hope no problem with it.

Any updates on above points is appreciable.

I think you need to notarize the photocopies of your degree certificate and marks transcripts,if you have sealed attested copies of your degree and marks transcripts i.e,attested by your university officials then that should be sufficient. And Also u can even call up the University they would tell u what to do and what is required.

Hi (lord) Blessme (too),

The application process will start in April end or rather 1/May.

I was also under the impression that I already have marksheets and Graduation certificate. So, only thing is getting is: Xerox, notarized. But I don't think Upenn needs notarized copy of Marksheets, they are looking for transcripts prepared by college. And college is asking questions like what kind of transcripts, hours based, marks based, course based..I'm all😕 what my college ppl are saying...I know this is not the first time someone has asked them for transcripts.

i don't think that they are so particular,any ways what i did last year was i had University attested copies of my graduation certificate and marks transcripts,the content in transcript was subject wise marks and the grades which i got in each subject,and also every college has its own format to give transcripts and i got the transcripts attested with my university in a sealed envelope and i have send them those.
