I'm planning to apply June 2013 for medical school, and was hoping I could take less classes in my final semester so I could study for the MCAT. I want to take Spanish 1 and 2 over summer (the last 2 classes needed for my BS), while applying in June. Is this even possible? Would this hurt my chances to get accepted? Thanks!

You can do this and it will not hurt your chances. Be sure you have something planned for the remainder of the year (i.e. during your application and interview season) so you're just not sitting around and can answer if asked about your activities since graduation.
