Hello,

I am currently a junior planning to apply to medical schools this coming June. I have completed most of my medical pre-requisites except for some english classes, but for my major, I have yet to take my last major pre-requisite course. This causes my major to be Pre-psychobiology until I pass this course, which then my status would be changed to psychobiology.

Would this standing as a pre-psychobiology major have any negative impact on my application? I plan to take the class in the fall, and I have no qualms about not graduating in time. And also, which label should I put under Major in the AMCAS? Thank you so much for your time and input!

😕 Lol that's a funny way of naming things. I would ask your school how they've typically had applicants label it on their applications. If you're really neurotic, then you can go ahead and confirm with AMCAS as well.

put your major as whatever you intend to have on your degree. Its kind of irrelevant and likely only used for "statistical" purposes.

won't matter a bit.
