You should download ModalityBODY. It's a free app, and you can get add-ons for it.

I think the Thieme Atlas is absolutely fantastic, and well worth the high price tag. I found the iPad atlases to be infinitely more helpful than the books, since you can quiz yourself. I have both Thieme and Netter's on my iPad, and overall, I find Thieme to be better. Netter's does have its advantages in certain places though. It's pretty good in the perineal region (which sucks majorly when you get there in class) and for the cranial nerve pathways. In fact, it made learning the cranial nerve pathways, especially the parasympathetics far easier.

Another added bonus to ModalityBODY is that you can import your own images and make quizzes out of them. This is especially helpful for images that come from Rohen's. Of course, the legality of accessing those images is another story. 🙄

Check out the VisibleBody app. It is quite expensive but the 3D view is very helpful. I think 3D anatomy apps where you can zoom or scroll through sections really make the most of the iPad's functions.
