I really tried hard to search for examples, but some of my schools have yet to respond in any form to my application. They've acknowledge receipt of all my materials since mid-October, but yet, nothing has come of it. In fact, the only e-mail that I did get from one of the schools I'm stilling waiting on was one that said "YOUR APPLICATION IS INCOMPLETE" which turned out to be a glitch, and I was told that my application was in fact, under review.

I'm starting to lose my hair, here, and the stuff that's still there is turning gray. It's sort of like the qualm before the storm. :scared:

Schools are still sending out interview invitations although at this point, they have already sent out the majority of them. It could be time to start thinking about what you need to do to strengthen your application for this coming cycle. Best of luck :luck:

The rate has slowed down considerably (at least here on SDN), but yes, some schools are still issuing interview invitations at this point. Check some of the recently updated school-specific threads if you need confirmation, as not everyone is prone to post their updates in the invitation-specific threads.

Well, I have an interview at my top pick school (irony T_T), but I would really like closure at the other places. Do I or do I not have to prepare to go to X school in X state?

I got an invite from Cornell and Dartmouth this week alone. And this is after being complete for 4+ months. Just wait.

Perhaps send updates. I sent updates before x-mas to all schools i heard nothing from. I think that my letters my have pushed me over the edge (or at least i would like to think that).

What type of updates? Like, an email with what I've done since the completion?

To whom it may concern:

I would like to update my completed application, AMCAS ID 10000000, with the following information:

I am currently working as a scientist for Umbrella Corporation, developing a cure for muscular dystrophy.

Sincerely,
Johnny Sasake

Like that? Only with more information pertaining?

Ya. I sent my fall grades (they were good), continuing activities, and just expressed my continued interest. i catered my letter to why i am interested in their school specifically. I couldn't hurt. btw i used snail mail.

Ya dude. If you just want to be updated of your status wait it out, seriously. Just assume that if you don't get an invite within the next month or so it is a rejection. We are all in the same boat. This is a long process with i'd bet 25% not knowing where we are actually going till after may 15th. Wait.

No acceptances, a few rejections, a few deferrals, an invite, and then no news at all, is unnerving for me. My only interview is at the end of February, as well.

I'm in pretty much the exact same situation as you. No acceptances yet, some rejections, and one interview I haven't even been to yet. Starting to think that I won't get in this cycle.
