Hello,
I was hoping I could get some opinions/feedback about my ECs. I plan on applying next cycle and would really appreciate anyones input as to if I'm missing any important ECs I should have on my application.

Also, is there like a rough number/requirement for how many hours I should have volunteering or shadowing? Ive listed my hours done at each facility, does the amount of time spent at each facility seem like enough?

Thank you.

Shadowing

- Optometrist....50 hrs
- Vascular Surgeon....20 hrs
- Radiologist....8 hrs
- Ophthalmologist....20 hrs
- Pediatrician....20 hrs

Volunteering

- Nursing Home....50 hrs
- Hospital....120 hrs

Research

- Paid summer research grant through SUNY
- Honors thesis through the college

Employment

- Worked as a Pharmacy Technician for a summer.

Any volunteering /work with those less fortunate than you? Have you done anything with the underserved? Anything to share your altruism? Any leadership stints?

Your WAMC thread says 500 hours of clinical experience along with a bunch of other things you didn't list here. So what's the point of this thread?

I have a bunch of scholarship/award stuff I didn't include.

So do some non-medical volunteer activities is what youre saying, correct?

Have you read any of the WAMC threads? See what others have done. And yes, you want to know if you were missing any important ECs.
