In my AADSAS application, I interpreted the Planned Coursework as just that, Planned.

I was waitlisted into two upperlevel biology classes I wanted to take and did not get into either (~20 spots per class). I did substitute them with another upper level biology class though.

This change does not effect any of my prereqs for dental schools. Will this be an issue? i've read mixed reviews-some say yes but others say as long as prereqs are completed, there will be no issue.

Thank you for your help!

Depends on the school. Only one I remember saying you absolutely had to take the planned courses you listed was Baylor.

I wasn't able to get into all of my planned courses this semester that I listed during my Baylor interview in August. I called them as soon as I realized I wasn't getting in the course, and I still got accepted! I think dental schools are pretty understanding, especially when it comes to registration issues.

Alternatively, your university is likely to try and force you into the course if you explain the situation.

But what if I was accepted to a school? The acceptance email didn't really say anything about coursework listed needing to be completed. It says that all courses in which I am currently enrolled as well as those that I plan to take to complete my degree must be completed (which I assume means that I just need to complete my degree)

Do you think that the school will care about the changes? It's not a school like Tufts that requires it. I have taken all of my prereqs, so its not a required course, just a biology elective (i swapped it with another)

If you want to know for sure, I would call the school and explain the situation.
