Greetings all,

I'm a nontrad going DO. However half of DO schools require science professors' rec letters, a few only take letters from basic science profs.

I finished all prereqs over 12 years ago so it's virtually impossible for me to get letters from my undergrad school. The only prof letter I have is from my pharmacology prof from pharmacy school but I need one or two more.

So I'm wondering if the letters I get from my P4 year clinical rotations' preceptors would count? Technically those rotations were 6 credit hour courses instructed by preceptors and my preceptors have academic affiliations with my pharmacy school.

So from admissions' point of view, can the rec letters from clinical preceptors count as science prof letters?

Edit: Retaking courses or do post-bac isn't realistic for me

email blast the admissions emails of the schools you are interested in with details regarding whether your LOR can be used as a substitute. some schools have responses that are not what it says on the CIB or school's website.
