Are questions with the formulas involving log in the chem and math sections?

Hello, I have soo many questions about preparing for the pcat and what to study, but i was wondering, since there is no calculators involved, do they expect you to memorize the formulas involving log? Like the chem section, I know several formulas, like those dealing with pH, involve log formulas. Do they ask you these kinds of questions?

Dont know about the pmat but the MCAT sure does require you to know all those formulas, I would say the pmat would atleast require you to know

-Log[H] = pH

As to doing Logs in your head its pretty simple, remember there is no negative logs, so all log functions are positive.. because obviously you can't have a negative concentration of H+ ions.

log of 10 is 1
log of 100 is 2
log of 1000 is 3

log of 1 is 0

Log of .1 is -1
log of .01 is -2
log of 0.001 is -3

hope you see the correlation

Okay, thanks for the insight. Soo if I have a general idea of what log is, I should be fine I think...
