Are there 1 week on 2 week off jobs available for permanent positions?

If so, were they available before the job market was hot also?

with twice the benefits? Id rather it be two jobs.

You can just arrange it as 1 job from the group's persepctive.

It doesn’t matter if you pay for your own benefits out of your own collections. 1 job split 3 ways. Everybody pays for their own health insurance, retirement, malpractice, etc.

A couple of people I know retired and made arrangements for 1 week (5 days) a month at a children’s hospital. They work for a week of days and then take 3 weeks off.
Our hospital has a per diem option for MDs and CRNAs that some take as a bridge to retirement. There is some minimum target, 50 or 60 days. No benefits, except malpractice.

We have several people do this as a bridge to retirement in our multisite practice E.g., three guys get together and agree to have two people on the schedule each day. Or two docs get together and agree to have one of them on the schedule each day plus periodically pick up per diems when we are short. They work out their own schedule and get it to the scheduler well in advance.

Our group allows “job share” amongst the partners. 3 people can split 2 ftes or 2 can split one fte. To qualify for full partnership benefits you have to work 30h a week

Most 2 weeks on 2 weeks off jobs are around 450k plus full healthcare. No vacation since u get 26 weeks off.

U will work a lot those 2 weeks. Like 8 overnight in house calls Around 130 hours those two weeks with lots of all in house calls. And u won’t sleep much those nights. That’s the price to pay for time off. But u get 26

I get the feeling that most of these are crappy little hospitals run by an AMC. Home call but not a lot of call ins but nonetheless wears you out over time.

Actually these are two major trauma centers that offer night shift jobs 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off One is university affiliated and another is AMC run.

The main appeal is time off for these docs to doc more side /1099 work elsewhere to push income another 250k-300k (on top of the base 450k) elsewhere and still get 10 weeks off (assuming they work 16 weeks locums. For a total of 750k with 10 weeks off

7 on 7 off is definitely out there.

Week on 2 weeks off not so much. Would only be 17 weeks of work per year, pay would reflect.
