Will D-Schools look down if I take the DAT again if I am not happy with my score? And if not how much should my DAT score increase by?

Seems like this gets asked weekly..
Search forums.. some schools look at multiple DAT attempts differently.

What would you think if someone retook the DAT?
Maybe there were circumstances affecting the first attempt?
It shows persistence/capability?
Lack of initial preparation?

Depends on the score in the first try and how you do in the 2nd try.

I may may be wrong here but I think that dental schools get your second score even if it's lower than your first. This could possibly backfire.

They get both scores.

If they get both do they just "look" at your highest or both?

If you don't improve then it will look very bad and it will be a waste of 175 dollars. If you do improve then its good but you will still be wasting 175 dollars! so the point is do well the FIRST time so you don't have to waste $$$. Generally, if you get a score of 20AA or above you should be good to go.
