Hey guys..i'm taking a genetics course right now and for some reason I'm just having so much trouble with all the tricky crosses, like in trihybrids. I study genetics. It takes time, it takes time. Just give yourself time to understand how genes become expressed and are translated into proteins, which then leads to phenotypes. Learn the normal process first and then start at the beginning for how mutations lead to frameshifts, etc, to phenotypic abnormalites.

As far as doing crosses, then is an understanding of how you inherit the genes and what will result (homo or hetero).
