Are you supposed to skip cards when using decks?

Are you supposed to read every single card's backside (answers) even if you get the question right? Should I skip reading the back of the cards if I get the question right? Is this how you're supposed to use decks?

I skim the info on the back to see if it's stuff I know or not. If I don't know it well then I read over it. That doesn't change whether I got the answer right or wrong.
