dont lie
They probably verify your hours IF you're accepted but they don't ask for verification of volunteer hours for an interview. Did you "exaggerate" your hours to look better on your application?
Bah - Don't listen to these guys. They don't know what they're talking about. LIE! It'll make your application WAY stronger. When you go in to take your boards, CHEAT! That way, you don't have to study so much. When you're out in practice, CHARGE PEOPLE FOR PROCEDURES THAT YOU DIDN'T EVEN DO! That way, you can get rich without having to do all those things you lied and cheated about in dental school.

sarcasm? I don't know 🙄
I agree too. You can't get through life playing by the rules. If this is true, everyone would be on the same level. They're not going to check 3000 applications to verify hours. Just don't to overly blantant and you'll be okay.
There are other ways around standing out, like actually doing what you say you did.
I need to chase down a few numbers of a volunteer people, which is a pain.
Yea, its hard to track down people that don't exist.
