Can anyone answer some questions for me about a Pacific angel tour? How difficult is it to get? How long is the deployment? How do you travel to get to the destination?

Probably around 3 weeks in length. Might travel via a mix of military and commercial. They’re competitive. Lots of people want to go, because it seems to be more of a vacation than a deployment. I’ve never gone personally. Now Pacific Partnership is an entirely different animal - that’s a roughly 5 month deployment.

Thank you for the answer. I’ll try to apply for it. Can you apply at any duty station? Who should I talk to about applying for it? I’ve only been in for 6 months. I’m a Navy Dentist.

Your command will probably release an email announcing availability and dates. If you’ve been in the Navy just 6 months I wouldn’t count on being selected. You haven’t yet done anything to “earn” it, but you might as well try.
