A couple of weeks ago, I was informed that I was put on the OML at Baylor. I recently, a couple of days ago, also was accepted to Emory's DPT. I'm attempting to make a decision as to whether to commit to Emory or take a gap year, improve my application, and reapply to Baylor. Any advice?

I suppose more definitively my questions are:

- What are the chances of getting into Baylor off of the OML?/How many people are put on the OML?

- If I can only truly improve observation hours and potentially getting better LORs (adding a military PT), is that potentially enough to give me the edge I need to get accepted?

I'm engaged to be married in May. I want to make the wisest decision for both me and my wife.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think the recruiter can tell you where you are on the OML but they might be able to tell you how many people are placed there and if anyone has not accepted a place in the class. It's probably worth the phone call. They also may have advice about taking a year off and reapplying. Emory is definitely expensive so I understand your tough decision.

I found out that there are only 21 people on the OML and that only 22 people are accepted (2 from Air Force only for a total of 24). Right now, I'm leaning towards reapplication to both programs this next year, as they are both phenomenal institutions.
