Does anyone know anything about the Army ENT residency programs (Walter Reed, Brooke, Madigan, or Tripler)? I'd like to know about the quality of the programs and whether it takes anything different to be successful in the military match. Thanks

Our old peds oto fellow (Ben Cable) went to Walter Reed and loved it. He said the facial plastic experience was good and the sinus experience was great (Bill Bolger is very well respected). He is now at Tripler, so I can say that the peds oto there is great (Ben is an amazing teacher). Thats all I know about the programs.

Throat,
Thanks for the information -- I appreciate the help! I currently trying to decide on a specialty, what has been your experience with ENT -- do you love it?
Thanks.

Yeah, Oto rocks. You do diverse surgeries, from cancer to kids. You can do different fellowships, the job market is ripe, etc etc.
