From my understanding (which is limited) it seems the HPSP programs are all the same. What is the difference in choose one branch I've the other? Any benefits? Also, how selective is the scholarship process, is it pretty difficult to get in?
They all pay the same for school. The AF does not give a $20k signing bonus. Not sure if the Army and Navy still are. For the AF you must have a 3.5 GPA and at least a 18 on the DAT to apply. If you score 20 or higher on the DAT, you can get a waiver for the GPA requirement.

Army still offers the $20k bonus. Competativeness depends on when you apply and how many other people apply. The trend is that each year it is getting more and more competative since the Army is meeting their needs and not having to offer as many scholarships and the number of applicants is not going down.
The AF numbers for applying are a 3.5 GPA and an 18 DAT. The next part has changed from above. If you score a 20 or higher on your DAT, a lower GPA will be considered, but no waiver is requested. Not sure exactly what that means. I was in a meeting with AFRS yesterday and that was the stated criteria.
