Hello all, I have been scanning the various forms and have not found anything that relates to my situation. I will attempt to make this as brief as possible. I am currently a paramedic with a 4 year degree in marketing. I work in an ER and volunteer at the rescue squad. I have a growing interest to go to medical school. I hope to eventually be involved in military medicine. Long story short...

I have taken all but Orgo Chem I and II and Physics II. However my cGPA is not all that great, so I know either a SMP/ post-bacc is in my future. During this time I am considering joining either the army reserves or the national guard. I do not have prior military experience and I would not mind serving 2-3 years while I am getting my medical school application together. This is were I am looking for everyone’s opinion.

The initial training alone would derail your timeline and you stand a HUGE chance of deploying.

If med school is your primary goal, keep your eyes on the prize
