I think they say 15 minutes. I don't want to get there too early and be anxious/nervous.

But plan it out ahead of time. I am going to do a "dry run" a couple days before I take my test to see if I can get there on time. Since the center is 20 miles away from me, I plan on being there 30 minutes early to allow for changes in traffic.

I actually just read on the prometric site, it said get there 30 minutes early. I think I will aim to be there 30 minutes early, go over notecards in the car for 15 minutes, then check in 15 minutes early.

I would say about 20 minutes. To give you a quick run down, here's what happened when I went in:

-My test was at 9AM, I arrived at about 8:40 or 8:45ish
-I told them I was here to take the OAT, they signed me in and handed me a laminated sheet with their rules and told me to review it and then bring it back when I was ready to take the test.
-The rules basically said no talking, bringing food into the room, etc., and that when you turn the sheet in, be ready to enter the testing room (i.e. - go to the bathroom, get a drink, etc. before you turn the sheet in)
-I turned the rules sheet in, and about 2 minutes later the proctor called me back into a room where they took my finger print and picture and made me sign a few things. I was issued a tiny little locker to stuff my backpack in (and I regretted bringing it in the first place, haha).
-Then they led me into the testing room which was a room full of cubicles each with computers and w/ people taking other tests. There were earmuffs at the computer to cancel out any noise.
-They started the test.
-When you get to the break, you have to sign in/out if you want to leave the testing room.
-Your results pop up right after you finish the test and when you're signing out you'll get a printed version of your results.

Hope this helps 🙂

Iwas told when I registered to be there about 30 mins before my test time. I got there 15 mins till, and it was no big deal. He checked my IDs, had me sign in, put my stuff in a locker, and then I got started. there was a 15 min intro when I finally got myself to click the start button on the computer, and I just let all of that time go by before finally starting the test.

It was an overall pretty stress free event. Dress in layers, cus it was kind of chilly outside yesterday when I took it (65 degrees in august, thats missouri for ya!) but it was pretty warm in the testing room. There were a few other people taking tests, and I could hear the traffic from outside, so I used the earplugs I took with me, and I think they helped.

Good LUCK
