What happens if you come late to your MCAT testing center (20 min to an hour late) ? Do they still let you take it ?

Thanks

You really, really shouldn't arrive late. If you don't show up and miss check in, your test center could state you're a no show. Should that happen, your test is automatically voided and you have to reschedule.

Here's the section from MCAT Essentials:

Make sure you get to the testing center 30 minutes before your scheduled start. The Test Center Administrator will begin checking in examinees a half hour before the appointment time on your confirmation. They will give you a locker and key for your personal items, verify your identification, and help you get settled into your workstation. For many reasons, some examinees miss their start times. If this happens to you – it happens to the best of us – go into the registration system 48 hours after the test date and time, to register and pay for another test. There are no refunds for missed exams (no shows).

You know the MCAT is one of the most important tests you will ever take... Why would you be late for it? This is a stupid question. Yes, things can happen, but it's your responsibility to make sure you get to the testing center at least 30 minutes before your test.

Thanks SN2ed, topic can be closed now.

And no thanks for all the other comments! I have my own reasons for asking this question and its because this test is amongst the most important tests that I will ever take that I'm asking this question.

My friends and I at various testing facilities were actually able to start the exam before the scheduled time, I think up to at least half an hour before hand. So feel free to show up super, extra early. They let you in on a first come first serve basis.

Because this test is amongst the most important that you will take, you shouldn't have to ask this question.

Seriously...
