Numbers are more important. They take priority first. You got $#!t numbers, no one will read your essay, because it was quickly tossed in the trash. That's the reality of having 5000+ applications per cycle.

I would agree, takara, but only if the adcom ACTUALLY READS IT. And very few seem to actually read the PS unless you get an interview.
