Does anyone know of any guidelines for attire for spine procedures being done in a procedure room (ie can you wear street clothes, hat, gown etc.). The only recommendation I can find is from the CDC regarding masks. We are putting out policies together for our ASC but I am having a hard time finding this info. Thanks

we had a minor revolt when the man insisted that no undershirts could be visible under our scrubs. i bought some wife beater type t shirts to comply.
there comes a point in every doc's life when one thinks it is harder to help the administrators than the patients. i suggest meditation. works wonders.

ASCs have their Credentialing bodies like JCAHO (or one could be, er, idiotic and just use JCAHO). Best ask but I'm sure it will be matching scrubs, cap, gloves at minimum. No jewelry or nail polish.

For example AAAHC...
