Hi,

Has anyone taken an online "Human Physiology" course through Cal-Berkeley and went to ASDOH? I'm just wondering if they will accept the class. I have emailed them and I have yet to get a response. If someone has encountered this, any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

To anyone wondering in the future...ASDOH will indeed accept an online Human Physiology class. I asked Azra in admissions today, so if that was a concern for anyone...here's your answer!!! Just thought I would share.

Also, Cal-Berkeley is the cheapest place I found to take it online. Go to Google and type in "Online Human Physiology" and it should come up. You can take up to six months to complete it, and the only thing you have to get proctored is the final exam. The nicest thing about it (to me) is that you can begin whenever you desire, no need to wait on the beginning of a semester.

I'll just leave the link for anyone that's interested.

Thanks for the info Chemboy23. Hope that your interview went well.
Btw, did they say how soon they would get back to you regarding their decision?
I'm trying to add the Human Physiology course at a local junior college but having no luck so far. I'm still waiting for decision from ASDOH also. Did they say that they would accept online courses from UC Extension or just an online course in general?

Hey thanks! They said the norm, "it could be tomorrow, or it could be May" LOL. I just hope they let me know something either way soon. That manual dexterity test ate me alive, I was shaking and my hands kept sweating. Oh well, I heard it has nothing to do with your chances, at this point it's all experimental. You can actually take it online from anywhere. If you find a cheaper, more convenient way let us know. I couldn't find a "Human Physiology" class online anywhere that was cheaper.

I know you said you live in Scottsdale currently, so i am not sure if you could get in-state tuition or not for AZ. I think if you have an AZ DL you should be fine... but check out Rio Salado.

Hey thanks a lot...will do! I appreciate the info. My license is actually MS, so that sort of sucks...but I had to keep them that way to try and get into the school there. Our d-school in MS is crazy cheap, still waiting to hear back.

Chemboy, this seems like an A&P online course. And for A&P, you must take take two courses (A&P I, A&P II) to meet the requirement of Physiology.

It's still cheaper and more convenient for me to just take the one semester of "Human Physiology" offered online by Cal-Berkeley. Thanks for the help anyways though.

Everyone in know that has taken only a+p 1 (15+ ppl), was able to use it for the physiology requirement. Both was not needed... just my experience.

That's weird because Azra (in admissions) told me that if I were to go that route (A&P)...I would indeed need to take A&P I and A&P II. There was another guy at my interview that had taken A&P I and she told him he would need to go back and take the second semester of it to fulfill the requirement.

OK I can clarify this issue since I had a same issue before.

If you take Anatomy and physiology, you should complete I and II both, but you shouldn't take any class after spring since our new class of 2015 start in the middle of July.

If you haven't take any anatomy class before (just like me), don't worry. You can take any ONE physiology class (3 credits). This is where I am now. I am only taking this semester biochemistry and introductory physiology class.
