What I wanna know is where the **** do you get those sweet 9-5 managed care positions? I have friends who didn't do residencies and got jobs 9-5 in managed care.

You get lucky. However, it's not all peaces and cream. They typically pay 30% below market on salary. Consequently they don't attract the best and brightest folks. The majority of employees are the slugs who aren't smart or motivated enough to get a job anywhere else. I spend my days repeatedly explaining the simplest of concepts to people who are so stupid that they couldn’t pour piss out of a boot even if the instructions were printed on the bottom.

Where I work is perfect for someone who doesn't mind ignoring, bending, or flat out breaking law. It's an added advantage if you can can shut your brain off and not give a **** about whats going on for your entire shift.
