on my official transcript it shows INTER ALGEBRA and on the unoffical Intermediate Algebra, Do I enter the official one?
 
So I do not have AP Calculus on my transcript but I have completed it with a grade that exempts me from 2 semesters of math at my school. How do I write this on the app because most schools require 6 credits of math as a prereq

Did you simply bypass that requirement and not actually take a class? If so, it's nothing and you don't put it in on your AP. If your school gave you 3 credits for it or whatever, I don't know...just put whatever it says on your transcript. Probably just CR for credit.
 
If I took my DAT May 28... when should I expect to see that my DAT scores were received on my application?

It's not anywhere on your transcript? Even as a "transfer" credit for AP? If it's no where on your transcript, I don't think you can just stick it in there
 
If my transcript only shows 3 credits of math when the school requires 6, should i bother applying? everything else is fulfilled
 
Reposting b/c i didn't get an answer yet:

My Committee letter isn't coming in until August.

I already have my 7 LOR's uploaded to Interfolio. I plan to take my DAT by the end of June

Also, aadsas only accepts up to 4 LOR's, but some schools have different preferences on who they'd like to see LOR's from. This makes it impossible to only upload 4 LOR's and make all schools happy. Just to make it more complicated, Maryland Dental said they want me to wait till August to submit the committee letter...

What do I do?

Purely for context, my GPA is 3.42 (not that good), my LOR's are from my university professors, dentists, professors/ alumni of dental schools, and one very famous retired public health official. My CV is pretty stellar.

I'm fairly sure it's alright. I still haven't done physics, from what I understand as long as you list that you're going to fulfill the requirements in the future, dental schools will accept you on that premise
 
Do I classify the course CHEM 4501: Intro to Thermodynamics, Kinetics, Statistical Mechanics as a Chemistry or Physics course? The reason I am asking is even though the course has a CHEM prefix, in the AADSAS course guide Thermodynamics is listed under Physics.

Also I already graduated from college and only have AP credit for Physics 1, took Physics 2 in college. Am I ok with applying?

If that's all you have left, you can always take one more math class at your university if you haven't graduated, online, or at a CC.

Wait until August to submit the committee letter. Additionally, having a letter from a very famous retired public health official probably doesn't matter

I'd say chemistry because it's technically in chemistry dept if it has a CHEM prefix. They might change it for you though, but you should be okay.
And you should also be ok with AP credit for Physics 1 if your university accepted the credit
 
So I'm a part of a volunteer organization. We did lots of various volunteer projects. Can I put that under volunteer hours?

Often they were with various organization so I don't really have one consistent thing to put under volunteering except the club I did the service projects with.

You can list the club and then some examples of projects you have done. That's what I would do
 
Hi guys! Filling out the supplemental information for UNC Chapel Hill and it asks to list strong points/areas to improve on. For those who are filling it out/ have already, are you planning on doing bullet point qualities with incomplete sentences? It would look kind of shallow/ impersonal if you just put a bulleted list of adjectives...

175 characters is so little space. In every section I've filled out, I could barely fit everything in. Had to generalize a bunch of activities.

A class I took also has the CHEM prefix since it is offered under the chem department, but the course name on my transcript appears as "Phys-Thermodynamics". I was thinking to add this as a Physics course to make up for my 1 quarter of AP physics I passed out of, just in case a school on my list doesn't take AP physics credit (they take English and Calc AP credit though). I have already also taken the other 2 quarters of physics in my school's series.

If AADSAS decides the course should be listed as Chem, will they just change it for me or will they send my app back to me to fix (delay)?

It depends, but the delay would be like one day so nothing to worry about

I got zero credits for it, so based off what you're saying is not to put it on there? More specifically, I did well enough on the Math Subject Test to get credit.
 
Does Dean's List count as awards,honors,scholarships? If so do i just put my school name for the organization?

If I got multiple ones do I put each one individually? I don't have anything else to put in that category.

My school accepted it for PHYS 1301, but it doesn't list it on the transcript. Here are the only 2 lines that show on my transcript regarding my AP credits from high school:

Transfer Credit from Credit by Advanced Placement (AP)
Semester Transfer Totals: 16.000

Even though the class does not show up on my transcript, should I still enter PHYS 1301 - 4 credits as a class for the first semester of college and select Advanced Placement for the Special Classification? How can AADSAS check if the class doen not appear on the transcript?What grade do I put then? Should it be S - Satisfactory or CR-Credit since I only get credit from it?

I didnt put Dean's list on my application.
 
So for the awards/honors section

I was paraded around DC for the national indep. day (4th of july) parade for being the first person of my faith to become (censored for privacy purposes). They didn't give me a medal I suppose but that's an honor...right? It was a pretty big deal but I don't know where else to put it.
 
Does anyone know how aadsas calculates GPA for repeated courses?

That's a predicament I was happy to have not had myself lol. Is that what it says on your official transcript? I'm not sure what to do. If it doesn't list exactly what course it counted for, I think maybe there was some wayt to send your AP scores. If you do put it in, though, it's definitely CR and not S

Hard to say if we don't know what it is....but you can stick it in there if you want. If it is the result of some other activity, you could just mention it later with that activity.

175 character limit makes it hard to stick it in there with something else. I was the first person of my faith in the US to get a license for something

Awards and honors section is meant for things that occurred as a result of hard work you put in. A good example would probably be like "employee of the month" or something. If it's just something coincidental, it's probably not going to help your application. Idk what kind of license you're talking about, but if it's something like a driver's license, it's probably not necessary.

I participated in a summer research program during high school through a university in my state. Would it be okay if I put this experience under the academic enrichment section? I know this section says that you may put experiences from high school, but is this looked down upon? I have one other experience in this section from college, but don't really have much else to put.

I've already submitted 3 letters of evaluation. I'm waiting on a fourth one (which will probably be done in the next 2 week). I've read here that I can e-submit AADSAS now and then add another letter later. My question is, can I submit the letter electronically as well (just like the rest) or do I need to mail it in? I'm asking because I was about to submit my app and the app showed this:

Post E-Submission Changes

After you e-submit your completed ADEA AADSAS application, you may only make changes to the following items until February 15, 2017:
  1. Biographical Information
  2. Canadian DAT Scores
  3. Designate Additional ADEA AADSAS Dental Schools
  4. Progress/Planned Coursework (one-time changes allowed during the Academic Update)
  5. New Fall 2017 Term Courses Completed (one-time changes allowed during the Academic Update window only)
  6. Password (not transmitted to your designated dental schools
It doesn't say that I can add another letter.

Do you designate which letters go to which schools after you submit? Since some schools require 2/3/4 and they have different specifications how does the adcom get the right 'set' of letters?

Last year, I'm almost positive you were able to. If it's changed this year, put in your letter writer's email before you hit submit. The letter can definitely be uploaded after you submit
 
Just submitted my app, is there a way to check my official DAT scores? Under Official Scores, all I see the date it was taken and the date received. No actual scores.

Also, how do you generate a .pdf of the app? Gotta send one to my university's committee.

"Ensure that the “SUBMISSION DATE:” field has a date and time stamp that appears within the .pdf as this will be used to verify readiness for queue placement."

^This is required for my committee letter. Anyone have an idea if the pdf will have this???
