Awards, honors, scholarship:

I have two awards from the local fda chapter for being apart of give kids a smile event in my city and also a letter from a senator acknowledging my participance at the mission of mercy event here as well. These go here right? Or is this section more academic awards and honors based? Thank you!

Yep. I don't think there's anywhere to attach a letter from a senator though. If you list mission of mercy as an EC, schools will see

regarding the coursework section of the application:

I have taken introductory chemistry and physics at a community college before taking chemI,II and physics I,II. my question is under what subject would those intro classes be classified? (chem, phys, other science, or non science ) thanks
chemistry and physics

Does the order that you enter your activities matter? For the "Extracurricular/Volunteer/Community Service" Section, I originally entered them chronologically, but then went back and added an activity from a while ago so now the entries are out of order. Should I go back and re-enter the activities to organize them chronologically or is done automatically?

When listing information in the boxes for what you did while job shadowing / activities to develop manual dexterity, are they looking for more of a list (with completer sentences), or a well written paragraph type format?

Doesn't matter

I took physics I and II at community college which included lab with the lecture. On my community college transcript, it only says General Physics I (4 credits) and General Physics II (4 credits). How will I show admissions that I also took lab with it if it doesn't show up on my transcript?

I wrote a couple sentences. It looked more professional. Don't overdo it.

I believe you simply need 8 credits of physics. You have that.

I graduated this past May from undergrad but If I'm taking some dental assisting classes in Fall 2016, would I classify that as "Post BS/BA Undergrad" or just plain "undergrad" course levels?

If I withdrew from a course and took it again. Do I have to select "repeated course" under special classification?

Post BS/BA undergrad since you already have your BS/BA

I got credit for doing undergraduate research. would that be classified as "other science"

This has been answered a few times on this thread if you go back through a little

Depends what department it's through. Check your transcript for CHEM, BIO or other prefixes

If we have a publication, would that go into honors/awards? And if I did a study abroad program is that academic enrichment or extracurricular?

Describe any activities requiring manual dexterity (e.g. activities requiring handeye coordination such as cross-stitching, sewing, art, crafts, playing musical instruments, auto repair, etc.) at which you are proficient.

How important is this question from the background information?

It's not a big deal but don't leave it blank.

Quick question. I forgot to put repeated course on a class I had withdrawn from a few semesters before. Is this something they'd fix or something they'd send it back and delay it for? How does the delay work?

Depend. I heard that that if it's a small mistake, they will fix it for you. If not, they will un-submit it and let you fix it and submit again.

So they hold onto your transcript and don't make you re submit it?

How would they know its a repeated course if you took them at two different universities and they don't have the same name?

Foundations of PH Immunology - HSC 4504
Survey of Human Diseases - HSC 4551
Emerging Infectious Diseases - PHC 4031
Introduction to Public Health - PHC 4101

would these courses count as "other science"? I am thinking that the PH immunology should be under BIOLOGY and the rest under OTHER SCIENCES.

Quick question. Do I have to list every class I may take in my 4th year for planned coursework? I am trying to get in some different classes but at the moment they are full.

Those would all be other science. Biology designations are only classes that are BIO xxxx

I guess it depends what it course it is. Maybe they wouldn't know. I wouldn't try to be sneaky about it though. If you repeat a course, designate it as such. Always better to be honest

Can anybody confirm that we are just inputting what is on our transcript? With repeated course designations it should show on your transcript, if not it's considered as taking another class? Hopefully that made sense.

when is the expected time AADSAS delivery date to designated schools? I heard school can see our app already.

It's usually towards the end of June. You can browse some old threads and see exactly when the first batch went out last time.

I thought statistics would be considered math. Did people really put it as other science according to this document?
If it says to put it as other science, put it as other science. It won't affect your GPA in any way whatsoever

QUESTIONS:

1. Does it help with my chance if I put that my two cousins are from their dental school? One graduated a year ago, and one is D2 in Fall 2016.
2. Does ADEA application automatically rearrange my activities numerically or do I need to do that manually? I do not want to appear unorganized to the ADCOMs.

Thanks.

If my transcript got to the processing center before my application is actually sent, what happens? Will they connect them as soon as I send my application.

Transcripts will not processed until application fees are paid for.
"Your GPAs are not yet available. ADEA AADSAS cannot calculate your GPAs until each post-secondary transcript has been received and you have e-submitted your application and paid your application fee. Once your application is complete, it may take up to 4-6 weeks for your GPA to be calculated."

If a course name is too long to fit under coursework, would it be best to truncate at a point at which it makes sense, or to simply fill in as many characters of the course title as I can? For example, if the full course title were "etc etc etc seminar: biologists", should the title in AADSAS be "etc etc etc seminar" or "etc etc etc seminar: biolo" if the full name does not fit? Thanks!

1. Go ahead and put it. It probably won't help that much, but it won't hurt you and could be a talking point.
2. I don't believe it automatically rearranges anything

I'd just write as many characters as you can and have it cut off. AADSAS will change it if it's not right

I can only speak from personal experience, but it does. My cousin gave tours throughout dental school and knew everybody on the admissions committee at his school. Let's just say that my "interview" wasn't even an interview when they realized I was related to him.

Was anyone else torn between saving $200 and adding another school or two to their application? I have 10, which should be fine based on my numbers (Illinois resident too), but did anyone just decide to drop the money for peace of mind?

If your stats are great, you can probably save the money. People with lower stats should probably apply to more schools like in my case.
