How do I nudge a professor to write a letter? I asked him a couple of months ago and he agreed to write one and send it in by June 1st. It's still not in was curious about how to broach it in an email? Opinions?

Funny you should ask this, I just sent an email to 3 of my 4 LOR persons. I framed it as an update email. I told them that I was checking if they had received an email on 6/X date (mine was 6/6) from AADSAS, I asked them if they gotten that email and if not to let me know so that I would call AADSAS and get it sent to them asap. I mentioned how I appreciate them taking time out of there very busy schedule and would be happy if they could get it in within the next two weeks and to let me know if they needed anything.

Hope that helps.

It's not uncommon for one to ask twice. Some professors want you to show them how bad you want it. If you don't ask them again they luck out from the responsibility. If you really want it you will get it.

For my committee recommendation, me and a bunch of my pre-health profession friends that also applied for the letter went to each of the committee members and rushed them.

We must've done something right b/c they moved up the meeting to vote for the letter by 3 months. Ended up getting it submitted yesterday.

So definitely show how much you need and want the letter. Not only that, explain to him/her why you need it bad and ASAP! haha GL! If the professor is at your school in the summer, approach him/her after class.
