It's usually respectful to give them a few months notice (3-6) so that they can prepare.

So is say try asking January. Build those relationships!

I feel that i have a good relationship with them already, i was just prolonging asking them so they wouldn't have to write another one if i asked too early.

What have you done for them outside of taking classes with them?

If that's the case then go for it! Just tell them you are applying for the 2015-2016 cycle that way they know you are looking to be accepted for the class of 2016.

I've kept relations with them outside of the classroom and believe I left a good impression on them in the classroom as well. One of them is a M.D. and is a member of NIH. He invited me to his research lab, and I helped him set up a system where he could upload his lectures online for his students. The other is a science professor who did research at a med school. I've made biochemistry notes for him, which he uploaded online for all of his students to use and gave me credit.

I wanted to ask them for a letter now, get them to upload it on interfolio, giving them more than enough time to write the letter. I was just wondering if this is too soon, will it be ok to use the letters for the next app cycle?

Not at all, ask away and just let them store it in Interfolio. Intefolio holds LoR's for multiple years so you'll be fine.

I'm not applying until next cycle either and I have an Interfolio and I have my letters on there now.
