Talk to the attendings if/when you go to pre-interview dinners so that they would remember you. Practice suturing skills as some programs will test your skills. Know the eyelid/orbit anatomy as some will ask you knowledge-based questions. Be open to private practice programs as much as to university-based programs.
The match rate is about 50%. You can have 1 interview and still match, and you can end up with no match even with 10 interviews. You will be fortunate to match ANYWHERE. Good luck indeed.
