Hey I'm not sure if this has been answered yet... I did a lot of searches and still came up with nothing so here goes:
I am planning on obtaining my associates in science at a local community college (don't ask why just focus on the question at hand please). Could I use that when applying for bachelors program for physician assistant?... Or can I get into a physician assistant program with an associates in science/applied science from an accredited community college? I really need some help with this.

I am asking because I really am trying to avoid the associates in nursing route because every nursing program has a waiting list and I don't want to go into a job that I'm not satisfied with just to say I'm a working young man. Please help me.

I graduate with my Associates in August and am also taking classes towards my Bachelors and plan to apply to a Masters Physician Assistant program here this winter.. My Associates is in surgical technology which is pretty cool if you're not wanting to do the nursing route, I didn't want to either. I wanted something entry into the medical field, but still a specialized skill to learn more about all the opportunities in the OR and it exceeded my expectations. Maybe look into it if it sounds appealing to you. It worked for me!

I honestly thought all PA programs moved to Masters degrees as the minimum level for practice. Didn't know bachelors degrees in PA still existed.
