Used to actually be red. Years ago they changed it to orange. Everyone still calls it red.

ahh the good old days. Back when QT was QE and only had insurance rejections, no scripts.. you had to actually walk to the fax machine for that

So the story goes that CVS go into a lot of trouble because they were promoting "fast food" medicine and they were making pharmacist work too fast (shocking I know). So they changed the color from red to orange to make it less threatening. Everyone still calls it red, it still means red. We are truly living in 1984 and 2 +2 = 5.I'm new at CVS and everyone seems to call the orange color on the metrics bar "red."
Orange is red?
What is going on with this CVS newspeak? There has to be an explanation for this.
Now there is new color.. black. 🙁So the story goes that CVS go into a lot of trouble because they were promoting "fast food" medicine and they were making pharmacist work too fast (shocking I know). Black = prioritize so you don't go "red" (orange)...yep no positive re-enforcing colors like green to say "you've got things under control" (no such thing in chain retail, lol)
*exception is the green dot indicating a claim went through

Something something orange is the new black.
I never thought about it.
You are right, it is orange. lol

The night shift pharmacist's best friend. Murdered by CVS. RIP, old friend.
