Any specific questions?

what hospitals are better to work for than others. pros vs cons

Ok, well I may not be a great source of info then. I currently work at northside as an intern. However, seeing as it is the only hospital I've ever worked in, I can't really offer you any comparative thoughts. If you have any specific questions about northside I can probably help. Feel free to PM me.

I currently work for Wellstar in Marietta. It has been a great place to work and def. learn. If you have other questions pm me as well.

Don't work at Atlanta Medical Center unless you want to work with people mostly educated in Africa, Europe, or the islands....*cough couldn't get into american schools cause they are bumbling idiots cough*

Believe it or not, Grady is a great hospital to work as long as you are in the hospital side of things. The "retail" deal at Grady is not the best environment in the world. The HIV clinic is probably the best pharmacy to work at out of the 20+ pharmacies they have.

Everyone's entitled to his/her opinion, so here's mine.

I'm an African, and I'm offended.

heh...and I thought you liked my offensive nature

Maybe I should further clarify that the majority of the doctors fall into the category of "I couldn't get a decent residency so I came to AMC"...seriously, AMC accepts any idiot with a degree. It's totally unreal. I am not saying schools in europe and africa are bad but it should throw a red flag up when almost 98% of your residents come from outside of America

True, I do. However, you made it sound like working with people educated outside of the US should be a deterrent to potential workers at AMC. That is what I found offensive.

So AMC (in your opinion) accepts poor physicians. Then say that, without bringing the origin of their degrees into question. I doubt that you know why AMC has almost all foreign residents - I certainly don't know why - but being educated outside of the United States does not a poor doctor make.

I work at Kennestone in Marietta. I'm just a tech, but I really like working there. The people are great!
