Ok so April had it so I figured we needed one too!

Where is everyone going to school this fall?
I'm going to SUNY buffalo. It feels like just yesterday we were oh so worried about the MCAT, and amcas, and everything else.

Who wants to remember that day in he!!?

I'll have trouble in my psych rotation because of the permanent damage that day caused.

Hey, I'm not even done with my interviews yet. That's one of the joys of being an August MCATer -- late March interviews. Plus, I'm still waiting to hear back from a bunch of schools post-interview.

But I will say that I have no regrets about taking the August MCAT. I know the late application hurt me a little, but the extra 3 months of studying before the test more than made up for that. It wasn't the kiss of death that everyone was making it out to be.

I agree. My amcas was not even verified until October 21st!. I didn't even send some secondaries in until Dec. 30. I got accepted to the school I wanted to go to January 11th (the day after my interview🙂. I have withdrawn from 4 schools and have not heard back from the 3 I did not withdraw. Also, applying to less schools was a big no no, and I did just that.
Note to future applicants: I am recommending this late performance, as it was really hard when people were getting interviews in Sept/October and I wasnt even verified yet.

waitlist at 3 schools 🙁

but no rejections!🙂

Right now Im working Wake Forest to get off the waitlist, I really love the program and its my top choice.

still interviewing

Getting ready to apply!
We'll be able to play the "back in my day" game with us taking the last paper test.

50 years from now---

Back when I applied to medical school we had to take the MCAT on paper. We filled in so many bubbles and wrote so many essays my right hand actually fell off!!! And we liked it, dag nabbit!!!

count me in for the reunion...where's the others?

Holla.

2 acceptances and 1 waitlist here. I definitely think applying late in the cycle hurt me at schools with rolling admissions, but I'm in so who cares?

1 acceptance, 3 waitlists, 5 schools to hear from post-interview and only a slight question in the back of my mind if I would have had more interviews to my higher-choice schools if I would have gotten the same score in April and been an early applicant.

Hindsight is 20/20, though, and I didn't think I was ready for the MCAT. Either way, I'm going to be a doctor!

2 acceptances, 1 waitlist, and 1 still to hear back from post-interview

2 acceptances (Emory, Wayne State), 2 waitlists (Gtown, Vandy), waiting to hear from 4 others. Turned down Wake Forest interview. Lots of rejections. I was complete at most schools before my MCAT came out so I minimized the disadvantage of applying late.

got into cornell in december by a miracle, waitlisted/rejected just about everywhere else
i'm ready for the next phase!
