On this website it says the average dentist who has their own practice earns over $350,000 per year.

Anyways questions:

1. Does this seem true? If not how much does an average practice earn (General dentist)?

2. How much does a fresh dentist earn as an associate?

3. Do dentists who own their practice pay the corporate tax of 30% in Australia or personal income tax of 45%?

Thanks.

According to this website national minimum wage of Australia is pretty high ($15.51/hr) which is 1.5-2 times higher than North America (Canada/US). These off-set factors may be one of explanations for such high reported salary. But from past posting, many people said starting wage for GD in Aus is

1) 60-80K for government sector
2) 90~100K for private sector (in rural area? I can't fully recall...)

I don't know any much better than you about Aus and in fact I would like to know more about it...
I guess we have to both wait for the reliable reply!

Yeah government sector is that low but I know someone personally no experience went Australia from UK and has a job at 150k/year first year so private sector thing can't be right. Hopefully someone with some knowledge in this can give some insight.

Things are so god damned expensive in Australia. The salary means nothing.
