Hey guys,
Just to make sure... the autonomic nervous system AND the somatic nervous system both contain motor neurons, interneurons and sensory neurons correct? If so, why is that the case for autonomic nervous system? why would it need sensory neurons if it's not using sensory neurons to register external environment signals to the CNS like in somatic nervous system?

I'm specifically asking about destroyer Q134: which is false?
a. the somatic nervous system contains both sensory and motor neurons
b. autonomic nervous system contains only motor neurons

Answer is B... but I want to make sure that the other neurons are sensory and interneurons like the autonomic system and to know why...

Easy way to think: ans=involuntary, sns= voluntary. Example of sns: you see food(sensory-afferent), you decide to grab it using muscles in you finger (motor-efferent).ans:it's cold, you feel cold by thermoreceptor (afferent - sensory), blood vessels vasoconstrict (motor-efferent) on limbs/extremities to reserve blood to important organs only such as heart.
