    Away rotation abroad

How do I set this up?
How soon do I need to get started?
Any advice from someone who has done this?

Need more info before anyone can give you real advice.

Are you a third year, about to be a fourth year? If so, you should worry more about your residency chances than international rotations. Plus, searching in the "clinical rotations" subforum might be better.

Are you a second year, about to be a third year? If so, have you finished scheduling your core clinical rotations? Have you passed Step 1 yet? I think that most schools require you to do that before you can even think about elective international rotations.

Are you a first year, about to be a second year? If so, you might have a difficult time, because it's getting kind of late. There are international volunteer opportunities that don't require as much scheduling/paperwork, but looking on google for that might be better.
