ME TOOOO, YESSSS!!!! I'm finally Complete there.... How long do they usually take to notify you for a interview?

I so wish I was complete there! I'm still waiting on my DO letter but hopefully sometime this week she will get it in.

I actually ended up going with the DO I'm working on a project with. She's the one I was concerned wouldn't write a good one because I felt she was writing me off as a reapplicant for next year. I had a meeting with her and got the feeling that she will write a good letter. I made sure to sell myself to her like I would in an interview. In fact that morning she interviewed a couple prospective med students and she told me what impressed her about them so I kind of played off of that. I did contact other DOs about shadowing but still haven't heard back from anyone. At least I won't be delayed anymore and here's to hoping! Thanks for asking by the way! 🙂

Thats good to hear, its always best to have a letter from someone that knows you well. Good luck, I hope we get scheduled for interviews on the same day, at least I will have someone to talk to calm me down. As I get nervous real fast, and start having panic attacks... LOL

That would be great! I'm getting nervous right now just thinking about interviewing. I do have a Bachelors degree in Counseling so maybe I could help you with those panic attacks. 😛

Oh gosh, please don't make me do the breathe into the paper bag routine. My mom always makes me do that, one time she made me do it to in high school before one of my final exams. I was sooo embarrassed afterwards... 😳
Well at least all the other interviewers will get a nice laugh out of it, if it happens again.

yeah, i was surprised too. it came by e-mail, and you can schedule your interview online via their website (they send the info in the e-mail)

I just got an invite from them today as well, I was complete there I'm guessing arounf the same time as you because my letter package was sent on 9/24. Only prooblem is the dates they offered me are 10/23-10/26 and I am interviewing at NSU on the 25th, leaving Los Angeles at 11pm on the 23rd and returning 11pm on the 25th. So I guess I will fly out to AZ, fly back to LAX, then immediatly fly out to Ft. Lauderdale.

according to interact now: supplemental recd:9/26, letters recd 9/28, application complete 9/29....never recieved a complete email either.

Suns play at America West Arena in Phoenix, its about a 40 min drive from MWU. Cardinals play at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, I think its about 15-20 min from MWU.

For those wondering, I was complete on 9/24, did receive an email of complete application status and got an invite on 10/2 for an interview for 10/24. Now that's a complete picture on the turnaround time, eh? Do you have a better idea? My stats? Refer to my MDapplicant page. I hope this helps.

so a question for students/those that have recieved acceptances. I recieved a call on friday, from someone in admissions offering me a spot for the fall class. I just was wondering how they usually notify people of acceptances and if this was normal? Thanks!

Hopefully a current AZCOM'er can chime in. All they told us at my interview on 9/26 was that we "would hear something in a week or two". I know some people have found out via their Interact Now! status updating to a matriculation agreement. Maybe check there?

Another AZCOMer (1st year) chiming in here...congratulations to all of you who are interviewing/being accepted/waiting with baited breath. I vaguely remember hearing from the school within a week or two of my interview. I think they called and sent a letter but it was sort of different for everyone, so don't stress too much.

Words of wisdom will come at a later date when I am not about to regurgitate the enzyme deficiencies in various metabolic diseases in nine hours.

That shuttle service is available from the airport to all the major hotels for a flat fee of ~$22, you might want to double check if you can arrange for it to pick you up and take you back. That'll certainly be cheaper than the taxi...

Or rent a car, though sometimes you have to pay extra if you're under 25. I got a car on priceline for $38 total. I'd be willing to drop anybody off at the airport after the interview if interested. I'll be interviewing on 10/23 and heading directly to the airport afterwards.

No, I should have! I am just assuming there will be snail mail. That is what they told us at our interview, so that is what I will base it on.

I am apparently one of those liars as well. I second ViolinCello's feelings in that I wouldn't have posted my acceptance if I'd known that others had not heard. It does confuse me that I had been called prior to the meeting, but all I know is that I recieved a call from someone at an Arizona area code, saying they were from AZCOM, and offering me an acceptance for the Fall class. I wish all of you luck in hearing good news soon, but I don't appreciate myself or others being condemned for being excited about our acceptances. 🙁

I was NOT calling any one of you liars! I was simply checking for myself and letting others who are in the same position as me feel a little better that we have not heard yet while others have! Sorry if you or others took that wrong. I have been freaking out that I was possibly the only one who has not heard yet, so it was a relief to call and talk to them directly rather then hearing everything from on here!
