Midwestern is a private school so in state is not particularly favored nor do they pay a different tuition. Good luck on the interview and like the others have said, check often to see when new dates open up because they do all the time.

interview invite today! looks like im going to go with April 5th, the only earlier option is 2/18 (this friday) but can't make that.

For those wondering, im OOS (texas), and about 3.2 ugrad gpa, 3.75 masters gpa, 30Q mcat twice (33 composite).

Congrats on the interview invite! When I got that email I couldn't believe it. I had been so sure that I wasn't going to get an opportunity, and now I am planning my move to Arizona. 🙂

I found out almost 2 weeks to the day that I interviewed. I checked the online portal every day until I saw the status change to accepted student I almost had a heart attack when I saw that. Some people in my interview class found out within a week.

For those of you that are interviewing in April keep up the faith. While I was on campus I spoke with a current first year who told me that he interviewed in mid-April and almost half of the people he interviewed with ended up at AZCOM. So having a late interview doesn't mean you won't get in.

Congrats on the interviews, everyone. You might be able to find out sooner if you call and wish to know, but I'd wait at least a week. I found out in 5 days due to them meeting and discussing applicants on Thursdays, but that day may have changed since then.

If you're proactive about your situation, yes. A few pages back somebody posted about being wait-listed pre-interview and will now be attending next year.

Assuming you've already brushed up on your application and are prepared for your typical interview questions: relax, don't fret about it too much tonight (it truly is a very relaxed interview), and get some sleep. Oh, and eat something delicious for dinner. Best of luck tomorrow.

Don't worry. It is very low-stress and relaxed interview. I just got through my 1st interview today and it only hurts the first 10 secs. Like previous has said, know your app.

If you haven't looked at AZCOM's feedback here I'd suggest that too. Other than that (as you've done everything else), as mentioned before, follow Frankie Goes to Hollywood's advice and "Relax."

I just interviewed at AZCOM this past Tuesday (the 22nd), and we were told 2 different things regarding when the committee will be meeting.

First we were told that we should hear in about 2-3 weeks (somewhat vague), but then someone in the admissions office said she was pretty confident that the committee would be meeting late this coming week to decide on the recent batch of applicants.

She also explained that after the committee meets, your portal status will change immediately IF THEY ACCEPTED YOU. What this means is that after they meet, if you have been accepted, the online portal will reflect this acceptance. However, if you were waitlisted/rejected, your status will not change and you will have to wait for an official letter.

First quarter, they ease you into it. About two weeks into the quarter you start to have one basic science exam/week. Most weeks it's just that one exam (~10+ lectures/exam), though there are three weeks where you'll have two (with one being either your Human Behavior or OMM midterm/final), and then finals (which aren't cumulative and are actually just final unit exams) you'll have an exam a day in the fall. Winter quarter is a whole different story. More 7 day periods than not, you have 2-3 exams with at least two being basic sciences (ex: biochem on Monday, anatomy on Thursday, and physio the following Monday) and six finals during finals week. My understanding is that spring quarter of MS1 is more of the same and that MS2 year for the first two quarters is even crazier (3rd quarter of MS2 you have ~18qhours instead of 23+ and have fewer exams but are also studying for boards non-stop). It is intense, but you'll be amazed at how much perseverance you can dig up.

If you think about it, the last interview date (for this month/patch) isn't until today the 28th. So they probably have yet to meet until all the interviews are over.

No prob. She did caution us that the portal might not be updated on Friday because sometimes the meetings run long. No freaking out allowed till Monday! lol

i wouldn't be worried - my portal isn't completely updated. it seems like it might be a step by step process that they're doing, i just happened to get updated first. plus, i saw that someone was told that they weren't releasing anything until friday... so who knows what's going on ha

It will actually let you access that tab and should say "accepted student checklist" or something of that nature with a list of things you'll need to do.

Congrats to those that have gotten in already and to those getting worried that people that interviewed after them are being accepted, take a deep breath and relax, this happens every year; a week or two from now, a number of you will likely find yourselves accepted also. 👍

Well now the portal has deposit, pre-reqs complete/required, degree, transcripts, etc. It also has the technical standards form which you click view and click agree to complete. When I click on the matriculation form/link, it says to check back tomorrow. I hope this means they're still in the process of accepting people for this wave.

I am definitely down for some pick-up hockey. I'm from the area, so actually thinking about starting up a mens team for the fall at the rink close by (polar peoria). they have mens leagues at like three different levels (A-C or something like that)

hell yeah! im actually from the area too (Arrowhead) and have skated at that polar ice many times. I'm not that good, but count me in--just need some new pads.
