Since this was asked twice on the same page...
Search "Deferred Admissions" in the catalog.

Also, as noted by Flushot, there is NOT a wait-list deferred admissions policy for AZCOM such as exists at some other schools.
I was wondering what was causing the price to be so high.
And the "free" parking permits, dont forget.
I was wondering, how often and when is the simulation lab used?
When I was interviewing at CCOM, I bought up the fact that they don't have a simulation lab and was told by a prof that it's mainly used to teach complex procedures during post-graduate (residency) years and some in the upper (rotation) years. I was informed that it's not really "essential" in med school and was more of a fad that schools use to lure students. Anyone have any thoughts about this?
Flushot or randomusername, have you guys gotten ahold of the class of 2011 match list yet?
Look a few posts up.
Sorry about the "free" thing, I just wanted to be a smart @ss.
I interviewed here and checked the MWU portal. It shows a post-accepted tab with a checklist, but when I click on it, says it is only for those who are accepted.
I believe I read earlier that the post-accepted is only for those who are really accepted. I could have sworn I hadn't seen it earlier.
Thanks guys.

Haha I was playing along with that because we sporadically have these "free" events but most people seem to forget we paid all of those activities fees for the "free" stuff during first quarter.
If there's just a link on the side menu, that's not the checklist people are talking about. The checklist should actually show up in the main portion of the screen if I'm remembering correctly.

Hi all🙂 I am a current first year AZCOM student and member of the Student Government Association. As of last Friday morning, there were 219 matriculants in the AZCOM 2015 class. I interviewed on April 16 of last year, as did several of my current classmates. Rest assured, you are not interviewing for a waitlist spot. Best of luck with your Spring interviews!
Hi Guys,
I know I am posting this question on the AZCOM thread so responses will be biased but I was wondering what your opinions are on attending AZCOM vs LECOM?
I know LECOM has the highest passing rates but that is not of interest to me because I don't care about passing but instead getting a high score...High enough to get into a specialty residency.
I don't care about location because it's med school and I will be in the library or studying somewhere most of the time anyways.
As I mentioned earlier, im interested in specializing so does AZCOM send thattt many more students into specialties than LECOM? I searched some and see the data posted above but just wanted to know if anyone knows more?
I'm just really debating if its worth paying like 100k more to go to AZCOM because I found both programs to be great and feel like the curriculum is similar. LECOM is more established and has it's own teaching hospital but AZCOM has great rotations from what I've heard.
Thanks for any advice-

If you think all else is equal, save the $100k and go to LECOM because I sure as heck would need more info than a match-list to commit that extra money to my education.
I will point out that the curricula aren't exactly the same unless you're going the traditional route at LECOM since they also have ISP and PBL tracks. Also, when did they get a true teaching hospital (this is news to me)?
Anyhow, like random said, if you see yourself happy in either location, save some money where you can.I've been looking online at different housing options and thought I'd ask if there were any trailer parks nearby? This probably sounds odd, but I figure it's just as cost effective to rent a trailer (perhaps even more so) and since most of the neighbors would be senior citizens I wouldn't have to worry about too much excitement distracting me from my studies. Any thoughts?
I'm having a hard time finding apartments that don't have reviews complaining of frequent car break ins, I would think a trailer park would be even less secure, interesting idea tho. You should get an RV and just camp out in the school parking lot 🙂
This is the second time ive read about AZCOM bikes being stolen. Are bikes common there? When I visited for an interview I didnt see anyone biking (I come from an undergrad campus with tons of bikers). Or are all of these people getting road bikes stolen that they use for recreation on weekends as opposed to transportation?

Hello everyone,
Is PanOptic Welch Allyn ophthalmoscope really needed for ICM in 1st yr? Even though I will get a good discount from a 2nd yr student, it's still quite expensive.
Just wonder how many of you actually use it for ICM?
Thanks
okay so i interviewed here last monday 4/4 and they told us the committee was meeting today and we would find out on the portal tomorrow...
well i just checked the portal and this "accepted student checklist" has now shown up but the deposit says $0 due and when i click on the matriculation agreement it tells me my info is currently being processed and to check back tomorrow. but does this mean i am finally in to a medical school?!
i know this was brought up some previous pages before but will someone confirm for me that this accepted student checklist really means i am accepted? thank you!

It seems as if some people are already talking about required books/equipment for fall semester. I've looked around and can't seem to locate this list. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks!
just got accepted last night! yay!
i want to do on-campus housing...is it too late?
if not, how do I go about applying?
thanks!
Don't worry about it until, at the earliest, late summer. Supply lists for next year aren't even available yet.

At this point, you'll need to email Jose (the apartment manager).
Has anyone gotten rejected from AZCOM? do you know if they do notify you through the portal system or is it snail mail?
decisions have been made, if there is not change in your portal it means you are either an alternate or that you were denied
