B- in Biochem this Semester/Quarter

lol... but biochemistry is a pre req for some of the dental schools!

and my gpa this quarter is the lowest it's been EVER.

isn't that just godawfully damning???
 
fine, what if i said i got 2 B-'s and 1 A- in upper div science courses this quarter?

that's seriously a blow to both my science and overall gpa...

You should just go ahead and forget AADSAS, save yourself some cash...spend the $50 to apply to dental hygiene school...you will never get into dental school with scores like that

i've been consistent with a 3.7-3.8 gpa all throughouot college, and then this quarter, i get a 3.0?

isn't that a bit drastic??

Stop sweating. You'll be fine. Yes, biochem is a pre-req but a B- is not going to affect your application.

I'd try to comfort you by telling you that I got a B- in Biochem and I got into dental school...but with your less than stellar 3.7 gpa I think your screwed....

Better apply to medical school.

😱 I have a 4.0...all you unworthy 3.7-3.8ers shouldn't even bother applying your inferior selves at the attempt of trying to get it...let alone someone that has a 3.0 in a WHOLE quarter...
 
If you think about it, biochem starts with a b and if you got a - then you can spell out the abreviation as b-chem, which gets you extra points of creativity with the adcoms.

I am on your boat right now. My overall GPA was 3.72 and sGPA was 3.78.
But after this semester, I have overall 3.56 and sGPA 3.67.
I got B- in Genetics, B in Entomology, C+ in political science and C in Sociology. Are you going to update your fall semester grade?? I am not going to update my new GPA unless schools ask.

I didn't say it worked. But that is their design. Also, it's dumb to tell both skinny and fat girls they're fat, then they just think you say it to everyone so they don't even feel bad if they really are fat, and the skinny ones just lose out on their self esteem boost.

Really? lol I hope not because some schools require that as a pre-requisite. But the reason that happened was because I had a crappy teacher, im taking the 2nd part of freshmen comp. next semester with a really good teacher, so I'm pretty confident I'll pull off an A. But seriously should I worry about that C? my overall GPA for my first semester in college so far has been a 3.25.
 
I got a C+ in composition and an A in creative writting later on. Didn't seem to impede my progress.

I C'd 2nd half gen chem and 1st half o-chem. I didn't redo them either. I C-'d freshman bio but did redo that one and got a B+.
I'm sure my two C's killed my chances at a bunch of school, but I did get accepted somewhere.

I got a C in Gen Chem I, retook it and got a C again! :laugh: I still got in.

C+ ochem 1 (25 on ochem DAT section)

I got in 👍

Just make up for low grades in other classes.
