Back to basics WW again

Interestingly, I am wondering why you even put noobs in the wolves column before day 4ish. Most of them stay in the "they are either being sketchy or a noob" area until then.

Thing is - if you are convinced you could get away with it (and if I were a wolf in STL's shoes, I'm pretty damn sure I could get away with it) ... you might take the risk.

As one of those noobs, I'm allllmost offended by all this shade that's being thrown in our direction 😉

AM (11 posts yesterday/3 today). While AM has been more active on the thread, almost every single post made has been a one liner with just about nothing useful added/no participation in discussion. This stood out to me when comparing to literally everyone else so far posting on the thread. Everyone else seems to have at least a few posts partaking in discussion.

Quoting this because I had the exact same thoughts about AM when I was lookin at her posting history. But, I'm not sure if its enough for me to lynch her yet. I agree with LIS and would also put Abs in the same boat as AM with lots of comments and fluff and little content. They are on my potential wolf radar, but I feel like that may just be their posting style (though I have never played with Abs before).

Along the same lines, SAR, you also came up on my radar yesterday, but I was/am doubting myself because I also thought you were sketchy last game & you turned out to be village.

I think SAR is playing pretty much the exact same she has the last games where she was village. Not saying she could be a wolf, but I think she is probably village.

So go off your gut. Either way - commit. Who are your top 5 wolves?
Raf is my top right now. I will probably vote that way this cycle. Jil is on my radar because I know she checked in, and she knew she was being talked about so I was wondering why she made one post and left. Stl is on my list but that could just be because the crazy conspiracies make me all squinty eyed. Those are my top three. Everyone else I'm wondering about is quiet. And I'm wondering (not saying it's oh so wolfy) because I am always reluctant to post on a thread and even remind people I'm playing when I'm a wolf. So I don't have a top 5 per se! You were on my list a touch but only because you hadn't said anything, but now you're here and being typical you lol

STL is still in my neutral slightly leaning wolf category.

Trilt I've got as neutral to village.

LIS is making me raise some eyebrows but I think it is more related to him posting a lot at once in order to catch up. I'm holding off on a real position for him.

Pippy, snowshoe and one other newer player...I'll go look are leaning more village to me currently.

The rest, I don't have good reads on yet.

Doc-S was the other I have leaning village right now

If people want to hear a noobs wolf theories.

People I am most suspicious of other than AM would be:
Nessy, because she was a quiet wolf and though I don't like lynching people just because they are quiet, she hasn't given me anything that makes me think she is village. But not much to go off of right now.
Raf because I usually agree with most of her posts, but I'm definitely not following her this game. Also about her comment on my posts about the day vig. I truly thought it was something that would be helpful, but I guess since no one else agrees, I'm just going to leave it.
Jil because of STL and my posts about last Basics game from earlier today. I feel like there is another reason she's on my list, but I'd have to look back through her posts. So I will decide later.

@SummerTheLynx I need a slightly better idea from you on why jilary. Mostly to fully decide if i'm going to lynch you or someone else. I went through the 5 posts jilary had before you called her as sketchy and I guess I'm just not seeing anything there.

Went back over Jil's post and I didn't really find anything more except for STL's thoughts. I mean I wouldn't put her in village quite yet, but I don't think her posts are that sketchy. And since I don't know how I feel about STL right now I'm not going to vote for her yet.

I'm just quiet in general, nothing to do with being a wolf 😉 Just feel a bit outclassed in terms of analysis with all the veteran players around! So trying to learn as much as possible!

In general, I agree that AM is sketch. Her posts haven't even been commentary about the game really, not even to agree with other people's thoughts on wolves etc. So that's a bit weird.

Regarding raf:
I could still go with my snowy lynch from yesterday. I posted my feels yesterday and her posts today seem like they're trying to be helpful with figuring things out, but then don't really seem to go anywhere. I'm just getting a lot of feels there.

This comment made me lol. Pot calling the kettle black, much?

Lots of new players and lots of older players who don't hesitate to lynch him at a pin drop. STL could be doing his exuberant wolf thing but I'm inclined to at least let him keep talking. If he does end up being scum it'll be fun to look through later.

I've had really nothing to tempt me to move from this lynch and I'm dogged to a fault, so may as well throw in:

Lynch raf

Followed up yesterday's wishy washy post with another today. Commit yo.

Another vote (like AM) that I can get behind.

Lynch ends ... tomorrow? Right?

I work overnight tonight. I'm gonna leave my vote where it is and re-evaluate tomorrow. Might switch to AM or raf.

In Abs' defense, it <is> her normal playing style. I'm not saying she's acting "unusual" (and therefore wolfy). Her normal playing style is just wolfy. *shrug*

Sorry I just got around to reviewing some posts. Took me a while. Here are my thoughts on some players that gave me slight feels. Sorry it's long.

SAR and mmm are playing pretty similarly to the way they did in the noob game as villagers. I know this doesn't mean they are necessarily villagers, but with such little information I would say they lean that way for me.

Coopah is giving me slight neutral to wolf feels. I just got a chance to review the lynch from yesterday and her very last minute change to cdo was sketchy to me. I feel like STL's change back to cdo was also sketchy, but Coopah was just following STL and it ended up being the deciding vote. I also felt like her defense wasn't particularly strong to her accumulation of votes yesterday, but I understand there probably wasn't a lot she could do in that situation.

Finn is also in the slight neutral to wolf category for me. Concise posts for the most part, with a some strategy. But to me it feels like minimal strategy at this point just to get by under the radar.

I see what DrS was going for about Abs, but given what posts I have seen from hers around SDN I would not be surprised if this posting style is just indicative of her personality. So I would probably lean more neutral to village there currently.

I am having trouble reading most of the veteran players as of now because I haven't played with them yet, but I thought I would provide the (not very concrete) thoughts I have for some people.

For what it is worth AM has come off as sketch in every game I've played with her lol.

In regards to AM, I kind of agree but... she always seem sketchy to me and I don't think I've ever actually been right about her.

Fair enough. If there wasn't a post minimum you'd probably be getting no strategy though. I suck at villaging, especially early in the game.

I followed STL because otherwise it would've been tied with me in the tie. I didn't want that . As far as AM I can see her being wolfy, she seems to be blending in with not much to say that's helpful. As far as my analysis:
SAR is reading pretty village from what I see.
STL doesn't seem careless enough to direct a lynch on a villager if a wolf to me.
LIS is reading strict villager so far, not much to go on.
Abnerrs seems normal for her so I don't see anything there.
Raf is usually very helpful and logical in her questions, so not leaning one way or another is weird for her I'd say. Maybe not lynch right now, but something to consider with a little more info.

I went back and read some of raf's posts and don't think she's being quite as insightful/strategizing like she usually does...so she's near the top of my list

Most of you have better insight about what is normal STL, but the whole thing about their not being a day vigilante with cdoc last night has made me wonder...

Abners has posted a couple things that make me suspicious, but again could just be her play style...

Hmmmm. I agree with this, now that you've pointed it out. I was thinking its not terribly unusual for her to be quietish, but you're right that usually she is quite insightful when she does post.

I suck at villaging, especially early in the game.

This, plus the "this is me having thoughts and keeping them to myself" typo, which could be typo but could be a slip, is making me side-eye you.

I really don't understand why I'm coming off as sketch this game? I really don't post that much in the beginning of games, and in the past few games I have been the worst at finding wolves. I'm just trying to read and get some feels on people, but no, I'm not convinced that anyone is a wolf at this point. I've posted my reason for voting yesterday and I posted my thoughts for today.

Other than me and STL, who do you have leaning wolf?

Honestly I'm not paying that much attention. I'll go back and read through to get some more wolf suspects. Kind of already said I don't have significant reads on others in either direction. I don't have anyone as hard wolf....just not the way I play. Everyone is neutral with some leaning more village and some more wolf and most just being neutral. I don't tend to have more than 2-3 suspects at once especially this early in the game. I'm on my phone and spending time with family right now. I'll fire up my virus laden laptop later and try to give some more opinions on people

Let's try not to lynch people for typos 🤣 Very Salem witch trials, hahaha

That requires me to have something to throw.

This is me having thoughts and keeping them to myself, this is me not having thoughts.
Make something up.

Unless you're a wolf, you're working with the same set of knowledge as everyone else. Don't just sit there and shrug that you don't know ****, jump on something.

A woman I once knew, who was also a police officer, told me once that people tend to say what they're thinking. (So if you're in a situation where someone says out of the blue, "I'm not going to X," it's because they already had X on their mind.)

Doesn't really apply here, both because we're all thinking about who to kill ( ) and because typos are a thing. But two comments that strike me wrong in close succession is worth keeping in mind.

The whole point here is to key in on minor, seemingly insignificant, details and put them together to find wolves.

I meant more don't lynch somebody ONLY because of a typo, lol. If there are other suspicions alongside it, then great! I just don't think a one-off typo is enough evidence 😛

Nor did I say it was.

Yeah but out loud is different. It's hard to make a typo with your mouth. (Does that sound dirty to anyone else? No?)
As I mentioned before I use swype, as I play on the browser on my phone, and it's uber easy to type the wrong thing.

Having a crappy day. Tried to catch up quick, what I've got for today is:
1) LIS returned in a blaze of glory/posts on ancient history 😛
2) AM is sketchy (to me, she's always sketchy and this feels like her usual play)
3) raf is sketchy d/t lack of insight (hard for me to analyze this one, I feel like I haven't played much with her but I might just have a terrible memory)
4) STL is sketchy for last nights vote - totally agree, did not understand the logic of testing a potential power role with a lynch when theoretically they could have been checked out last night
5) Abnerrs is always sketchy (sure, why not?)
6) Finn knows nothing and typed a typo.

When does this cycle end? Tomorrow morning or evening?

I'm going to go with my gut from yesterday and

Lynch STL

Also Coop's switch to cdo made sense if it was a self-preservation vote. No idea who was jailed yesterday (if it went through before the kill), but since it's a basic game they may not have even been informed (if they weren't doing anything that would have been blocked).

I want to hear more from @kcoughli.

@allyphoe has also been somewhat raising my eyebrow; d1 "bandwagon" comment, seeming to be a little more agreeable than normal, just making me hrrrmph a little.

I didn't get involved in it yesterday, but @SkiOtter calling out cdo for being around but not posting was interesting to me yesterday, because I had noticed her doing somewhat the same thing... around in drunk chat and such but not on the thread here.

@mmmdreamerz is doing a whole lot of agreeing with people and not necessarily presenting own thoughts.
