I just finished freshmen year of college at Rutgers as a Bio major. I'm done with General Biology and Chemistry. Is it too early to start reviewing these two subjects during this summer? I was planning on focusing on biology and buying a mcat review book (any recommendations?) and pretty much reading through it and highlighting and taking notes in the margins so that when its time to seriously study for the MCAT reviewing will go faster? I don't know if this is a waste of time though. Any suggestions?

I just posted advice to someone two seconds ago whose screen name is "TypicalIndian". Read through that, and then if you search through old and a few archived threads, you'll see what general consensus is that way. 🙂

Hope this helps.

(Short answer: Don't bother now. Wait until you are a junior or at least until the summer after your sophomore year to even CONSIDER the MCAT. Focus on your GPA and ECs. MCAT will be a beast of its own after you take organic and physics.)
