basic or clinical research

Hi all,

I am interested in Derm and have a question about research. For someone with my background (a PhD in basic sciences and 3 years of postdoc before entering med school), would it be better to do more basic research or try some clinical research ( in term of boosting my application for residency)? There are projects that I'm interested on both sides, and both perspective faculty mentors seem really bright and supportive.

I'd appreciate your input.

if you like both equally, then go with the mentor that will be more helpful in landing a spot. Go with the indian that has more feathers.
