Direct from the Air Force's website, with similar wording for other branches : "While on scholarship you will spend 45 days on active duty in the Air Force, and once you graduate you will serve active duty (one year for each year of scholarship, with a minimum of three years)."
Does this mean that they can pull you from medical school to serve your active duty somewhere? If so, has this occasion ever arisen that you know of?
Also, once my service is over, is there any circumstance that can lead to me being forced back into the military? I would like to serve my country, but not be forced to spend my entire life serving my country.
Thank you in advance.
